Panasonic LUMIX S1H Digital Mirrorless Camera

SKU: DCS1HBODY

Panasonic LUMIX S1H Digital Mirrorless Camera
The LUMIX S1H is a full-frame mirrorless camera for film production, scaled to a hand-held design without compromising professional-level standards. It offers extensive recording modes and cinematic image quality to meet the high demands of today’s creators. With superior functionality that slots effortlessly into the professional workflow, the S1H is also designed for active filming in the field when attached to a gimbal or drone.
A newly developed 24.2-megapixel full-frame image sensor complies with the new Dual Native ISO. In combination with the optimum signal processing by Venus Engine, it achieves high sensitivity and minimum noise. The LUMIX S1H provides 14+ stops of dynamic range, which is as wide as those of cinema cameras, and V-Log / V-Gamut compatible with popular colorimetry called “VariCam Look.”

What makes the LUMIX S1H a special camera is an unlimited recording time in all recording modes thanks to unique heat dispersion technologies. HDR (High Dynamic Range) in HLG (Hybrid Log Gamma), 4:2:2 10-bit internal recording and output through HDMI. Anamorphic 4:3 modes are also available together with a variety of practical tools for film making, such as tally lights, a waveform monitor and a V-Log View Assist function (LUT Viewer).
The LUMIX S1H full-frame mirrorless camera system adopts the L-Mount system to provide users with a diverse and future-proof range of products. Currently more than 46 interchangeable lenses including 11 or more LUMIX S/S PRO lenses are available or will be available from Panasonic, Leica Camera and Sigma to choose from and a variety of mount adapters/converters further expand the opportunities to use even more lenses. The L-Mount thereby opens up an almost limitless spectrum of new creative possibilities.
The LUMIX S1H combines cinema industry performance, refined by Panasonic, with the high mobility and functionality of LUMIX mirrorless cameras.

Responding to the demanding requirements of photographers, videographers, and cinematographers today, the full-frame LUMIX S1H mirrorless camera offers an outstanding combination of image quality, functionality, and usability.

VIDEO PERFORMANCE

4K HDR Video
HDR modes in HLG format: 4K HEVC (HLG) video mode and Photo Style “Like2100.” On HDR devices, you'll view amazing dynamic range and extremely fine gradations of light and dark.

Anamorphic Recording
4K 4:3, 6K full-frame 3:2, DCI-4K, and more. Post-production from anamorphic lenses makes Cinemascope possible. An Anamorphic Desqueeze Display function displays Cinemascope-size video at 1.3x, 1.33x, 1.5x, 1.8x, and 2.0x

VFR (Variable Frame Rate)
Support for overcranking and undercranking with access to 2.5x slow* in C4K/4K and 7.5x super-slow* in FHD.*** Create emotional slow-motion footage of up to 30x normal speed (30p/2 fps).

*24p/60 fps.
**24p/180 fps
*** The degree of effect varies depending on the recording format and frequency, and the angle of view narrows if a frame rate over 150 fps is selected.

HFR (High Frame Rate)
HFR recording available with audio and autofocus: 119.88p or 47.95p (59.94Hz), 100.00p (50.00Hz), and 48.00p (24.00Hz). In post-production, the frame rate can be changed for slow-motion video.

Time-Lapse Video with 4K 60p/50p
In-body interval capture creates time-lapse video capable of 4K 60p/50p with smooth exposure tranistion. Shoot photos with V-Log for workflow flexibility or Like709 without color correction later.

Like709 / Knee Adjustment
Rec.709 gamma curve is utilized in commercial broadcasting. Knee adjustment avoids blown-out highlights, enabling the use of unedited footage in broadcast for quick, efficient post-production work.

Video Frame Marker
The video frame marker is useful when vertical/horizontal cropping in post-production is anticipated. Displayable aspect ratio frames include 2.39:1, 2.35:1, 1:1, and 4:5 with a total of 8 patterns.

Display Modes to Support Videography
A familiar control panel can be displayed similar to that of a professional cinema camera with 3 display options for Shutter Speed and Gain (Sensitivity): Sec/ISO, Angle/ISO, or Sec/dB.

System Frequency
To support global video production, three different system frequencies can be selected: 59.94Hz (NTSC), 50.00Hz (PAL), or 24.00Hz (CINEMA).

Filtering / My List of Rec Quality
Frame rate, resolution, codec, etc. can be specified and represented in the display. Anamorphic, VFR and HFR can be displayed*. My List saves frequently used recording modes for quick access.
*VFR:Variable Frame Rate, HFR: High Frame Rate

Segment File Recording / Loop Recording
Segment File Recording records video as 1-minute segments, with preventing the loss of whole data. Loop Recording deletes old data while recording without worrying about card capacity.

Luminance Level for 10-bit
For 8-bit, 0-255 / 16-235 / 16-255 are selectable. For 10-bit, 0-1023 / 64-940 / 64-1023 are selectable.

Luminance Spot Meter
A subject can be selected with the frame and its luminance displayed as a percentage. When recording in V-Log, the camera displays luminance in stops.

WFM / Vectorscope
Luminance, or chroma color balance can be displayed during recording.

Zebra Pattern
As a new feature, the LUMIX S1H can display two zebra patterns at once, allowing the user to set a luminance range. This function can be used to warn the user of blown-out highlights.

Master Pedestal Level
The standard black level for the video can be adjusted.

Synchro Scan
This function fine-tunes the shutter speed to minimize the flickering of fluorescent lights, televisions, computer monitors, etc.

BODY DESIGN AND EXPANDABILITY

1.8-inch High-Resolution Status LCD
The newly developed high-resolution 1.8-inch status LCD presents optimal information for still photography or videography. Time code and audio information can be customized with switchable black or white backgrounds.

5.76-million-dot Resolution Real View Finder
The large Real View Finder boasts outstanding resolution of 5.76 million dots. The responsive OLED display offers an extremely low 0.005-second minimum lag time and an ultra-high 120 fps refresh rate.

Night Mode
When shooting dark scenes like starry skies, this mode suppresses the stimulation of eyes that have become accustomed to the dark. The LVF and rear monitor can be set separately.
